June update, tree committee and pool maintenance

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone who came to the Annual Woodlake Meeting and anyone who participated in the Neighborhood Yard Sale! I just wanted to take a moment to mention a couple of updates.

First off, at the Annual meeting we discussed forming a tree committee that would oversee and investigate the removal of hazardous trees in our community. The board is looking for volunteers to join this committee. If you or any neighbor you know wants to volunteer, please email hoa@woodlakeneighbors.com and let us know.

Second, as many of you may already know, the pool furnace was out of commission for a short period of time this past week or so. Thanks to the quick coordination of the Eddie Archer and the board, the pool has just now re-opened for use. If you haven’t gotten a key yet, remember you must fill out a new rules contract to get a new key and use the pool.

Hope everyone is getting off to a great summer start. School is out for many; bring on the good weather and fun!

Pool heater

Hello everyone, the pool heater is 100% out of commission & not repairable.  The pool will remain OPEN but the water temperature will be cold.  A fix will be at least two weeks out (if not a bit more).
Thank you,

Summer is here!

Hello everyone!

Summer is here and the pool has been open since the 24th!  In case you missed the board meeting, this is a reminder that there are new pool rules that must be accepted in order to get the new pool key.  Please fill out the Woodlake Pool Rules Form and mail it to Eddie Archer along with 3 dollars for the new pool key.  Also, we are just one week away from the yard sale.  Get your goods prepped and ready for sale. Hope everyone is able to enjoy this beautiful weather and the beautiful neighborhood we live in!

Cheers

Early May Updates

Hello everyone, I’ve got a few quick updates.

  • The covenant amendments have been approved.
  • The pool opens Friday May 24th
  • New lights have been installed in the light fixtures at the pond parking area. We updated the fixtures with an newLCD light fixture that uses less energy and provides adequate lighting for the area.
  • A note from Kim Kranz, “My cat has been missing since tuesday May 7th. Large male white/brown cat very curious but shy cat, may have gone into shed or garage, please call Kim with any information.”  612-616-9265

April Beautification Update

Woodlake Neighbors,

We are on schedule to be receiving our final loads of wood chips for the entrance area over the next few weeks. The actual beautification work is scheduled to start during this time as well. During this phase of the project you will see our landscaper Gustavo working with a small machine to clear nuisance secondary growth, grasses, weeds and ivy. Gustavo will also prepare the ground for a final finish coat of wood chips leaving us with a nice clean professional appearance tying in with the frontage.

Over the course of the last two months we have completed the frontage and the greenbelt trails. We have had over thirty loads of wood chips delivered (thats over 300 yards) for FREE !! We have been using the same tree service companies that supply Chambers Bay and the Point Defiance Zoo for their woodchip application needs. This has been a big project and you can already see the improvements to these areas. We appreciate your patience as we have been working to get this accomplished. This project should be completed as soon as possible and we will be looking good just in time for Spring.
